The Friendly Dragon
Long ago, in a small village surrounded by mountains, people feared the caves above. They believed a fierce dragon lived there, guarding treasure and breathing fire.
One day, a brave little girl named Meera decided to climb the mountain. She wanted to see the dragon with her own eyes. When she entered the cave, instead of fire and roars, she found a huge dragon crying softly.
“Why are you crying?” Meera asked gently. The dragon sniffled and replied, “Everyone thinks I am scary, but I only want a friend.”
Surprised but happy, Meera laughed. “Then I’ll be your first friend!” The dragon’s eyes sparkled, and for the first time, he smiled. From that day on, the villagers saw that the dragon wasn’t dangerous—he helped carry wood, guarded the fields, and even played with the children.
Soon, the village and the dragon became a family, teaching everyone that kindness can change fear into love.
Moral of the story: Don’t judge others by how they look—true friendship comes from kindness and understanding.
